Cisco firesight download updates failed: update file is corrupted






















 · Step 3 Upload the update to the Defense Center by selecting System Updates, then clicking Upload Update on the Product Updates tab. Browse to the update and click Upload. The update is uploaded to the Defense Center. The web interface shows the type of update you uploaded, its version number, and the date and time it was generated.  · If the file is corrupt, you will get a corrupt message when you attempt to launch the upgrade (I had that happen in the past). If the upgrade file is good, you will see the install page as shown. The first attempt I made failed because my FireSIGHT VM didn’t have enough memory.  · Note: Download the update directly from the Support site. If you transfer an update file by email, it may become corrupted. 3. Upload the update to the Defense Center by selecting System Updates, then clicking Upload Update on the Product Updates tab. Browse to the update and click Upload. The update is uploaded to the Defense Center.


There may be several reasons why the update was not copied successfully but fortunately, there is a workaround to get the file over and restart the upgrade process. The X upgrade file is Cisco_Network_Sensor_Patchsh. Once downloaded, go under system - update and upload that file to the FirePOWER manager. NOTE: The separate image upgrade process is simpler than the unified version. Below shows both the unified and separate ASA and Firepower images uploaded.
